It was located outside of coimbatore corporation. It was developed in recent years as people moving here from city for buying sites. Many land development projects are ongoing here. L&T bypass was the reason for development in this area but it needs other connection to grow more. The climate was very calm and brezzy at evening due to short lakes nearby. Bus connectivity was not effective because of poor management and bus will arrive when there is enough passengers so mostly people prefer own vehicles for transport as of now. The L&T bypass is also an problem because it separates pattanam from the city crossing the bypass road was dangerous at certain times and its an accident prone area so over bridge or subway would be better for Pattanam growth read more
