It was located outside of coimbatore corporation. It was developed in recent years as people moving here from city for buying sites. Many land development projects are ongoing here. L&T bypass was the reason for development in this area but it needs other connection to grow more. The climate was very calm and brezzy at evening due to short lakes nearby.
