Vadodara also known as Baroda is the second largest city in the Indian State of Gujarat. Vadodara covers the total area of 420.33 sq km with the coordinates of 22°18' N 73°12' E. The climate of this place features a borderline of tropical Savanna Climate which is very close to being classified as the hot semi-arid climate. The total population of this area is 3.5 million out of which 949,998 are males and 872,223 are females and 9% of the population is under 6 years of age. Mainly four languages are spoken in here- Gujarati, Marathi, Hindi and English.
Infrastructure and Details
Vadodara city is governed by the Municipal Corporation of the Vadodara district. Some of the best places to visit in Vadodara are Makarpura Palace (9 km), Champaner Pavagadh Archeological Park (48.7 km), Sayaji Garden (1.5 km), EME Temple (3.8 km), Vadodara Museum and Picture Gallery (1.6 km) etc.
The major roads like National Highway is connected with Mumbai, Delhi and Ahmedabad. The nearby railway and Station is Vadodara Railway station and nearby airport is Vadodara Airport which is located north-east of the city. And Gujarat Metro rail corporation is planning metro train in Vadodara.
This city houses many schools and colleges. The schools include Baroda High School, Sumandeo Vidyapeeth, American School of Baroda, Delhi public school etc. And some of the reputed colleges of this place are The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Parul University, GSFC University, ITM Vocational University, Navrachna University, Sigma Group of Institute etc. Some of the popular hospitals are Naik Super Speciality Hospital, Dhyana Hospital, Jivan Hospital etc. Vadodara has various large-scale industry like Indian Oil Corporation, Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals etc.
