Dibang Valley is an Arunachal Pradesh district that derives its name from the River Dibang or Talon. It is the district in the country with the lowest population with a total area of 9,129 square kilometres. The Dibang Valley District was made in 1980 from the Lohit District. In 2001, it was sub-divided into the Dibang Valley and Lower Dibang Valley districts. Anini is the district headquarters while the population of the zone stood at 8,004 people as of the year 2011. The Dibang Valley coordinates are 28.8129° N, 96.1527° E.

Dibang Valley is home to the 2,000 km upcoming Mago-Thingbu connector to the Vijaynagar Arunachal Pradesh Frontier Highway. It will also connect with the upcoming East-West Industrial Corridor.
