Anuppur is the administrative headquarters of Anuppur Tehsil and Anuppur district in Madhya Pradesh, India. This southeastern city of Madhyapradesh was once a part of the Shahdol District and later separated to form a new Anuppur district. The total area of Anuppur District is 3,746.71 sq. km. The city is covered by mountain ranges and rivers and is located at an average elevation of 505 m above sea level. Anuppur has distinct temperatures; rainfall offers from June to October. The hottest month in the city in June and January is the lowest. The estimated population of the town is 26,397. The city coordinates are 23.1°N and 81.68°E. Hindi is the official language here.
