Kamothe railway station is situated within the locality and is on the Harbour line rail service in Mumbai. There are many good schools and colleges at close proximity from Kamothe and is considered a prime locality due to new international airport of Navi Mumbai being built at close proximity. Hiranandani is the prime builder in this region with a large township. New metro construction is being built from Kharghar to Kamothe. The locality doesn’t face any water logging issues.
