Tadepalligudem is a town found in the middle of Godavari in Andhra Pradesh. The town is its municipality. It contributes to the distinction of West Godavari and has become the second-most densely populated region of Andhra Pradesh. It has an elevated position of 34 meters. Bhimadalu surrounds it on its west, Dubacherla towards the northwest, Madhavaram on the northeast and Pentapudu towards the south. It has 102,303 people, with 51% males and 49% females. The major language spoken here is Telugu and English. It is at 16.8333°N 81.5000°E with 34 metres of elevation. Its average literacy rate is 83.10%.

The Asian Highway 45 passes through the town, and the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation also operates in the town. The city has its railway station on Visakhapatnam–Vijayawada section under the Howrah-Chennai main line. Though the city has its airport, it isn’t operational. The nearest airport is Rajahmundry Airport, and you can take a bus to travel.
The town is a prominent one in terms of education and has many educational institutes. Also, its literacy rate is 65% which is higher than the national average of 59.5%. The town is a hub of the West Godavari district. It has private and government-aided schools. The National Institute of Technology, Tadepalligudem is the 31st NIT founded on 20th August 2015. The two major universities are Adikavi nannayya university campus and Dr YSR Horticulture University.
