Powai, though known for its scenic beauty and modern infrastructure, faces several challenges.
Traffic congestion is a frequent problem, with narrow roads and ongoing construction causing regular jams, especially during peak hours. The cost of living is also notably high, with expensive real estate and daily expenses making it difficult for those on a budget. Waterlogging has become a growing concern as the area has seen a rapid influx of residents and corporate offices, resulting in parking shortages and crowded public spaces. The lack of direct public transportation, particularly no suburban railway access, forces residents to rely on buses and private vehicles, adding to travel time and costs. read more

The growth in residential and commercial projects has led to increased traffic, particularly on the roads leading to the locality, causing congestion during peak hours. Noise from nearby construction sites and occasional crowd at local hotspots can sometimes disrupt the peaceful setting. Additionally, while the area is generally well developed, some parts still struggle with infrastructure issues, such as irregular water supply. read more
