This locality is close to two metro routes of the Delhi metro railway corporation. The rental prices are not so high. The limited parking space and traffic congestions are major problems here.

Situated in north-west Delhi, Rohini Sector 17 is a residential sector alongside Bawana Road. It largely comprises builder floors along with few multi-storey residential complexes, namely Muskaan Apartments and Shri Niketan Kunj Apartments. The sector is divided amongst various pockets, and has few industrial entities within its periphery. A major part of the sector is occupied by Shahbad Daulatpur village, while the sector is bordered with Sector 16 and Sector 11. Delhi Technological University is a key landmark which is placed just 1.5 km from Sector 17.Ojas Public School, Jain Bharti Model School, Titiksha Public School, and Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, are amongst some of the notable educational institutions in and around the sector.
