a locality that i fondly remember as a former resident. the charming colony offered a unique blend of tranquility, convenience, and community. i cherished the area's well, maintained roads, clean surrounding, and picturesque view of the mumbai harbor. the locality's strategic location near the port and major highways connected us to to the rest of mumbai. the colony's amnities, including its parks, playgrounds, and community centers, made it an ideal place to raise a family. read more

there were also some drawbacks. one major issue was the areas isolation from the rest mumbai, with limited public transportation options and lack of connectivity to major hubs. additionally, the areas infrastructure was showing signs of aging, with frequent power outages and water supply issues. the colony's security was also concern, with instances of theft and vandalism reported read more

Good things here

It's a very small society with limited space and a small number of families. Consequently, there are no basic amenities, including a swimming pool and gym. Interaction among residents is minimal, leading to infrequent celebrations of cultural events together. read more

This colony comes in the posh area of Delhi.It is a beautiful sociaty with lots of greenery and a peaceful environment.Since it is a posh area so it has features like Hospitals, school,mall ,market and restaurant nearby.Public transport is good due to availablity of metro at a walking distance. read more

Hospitals and Nursing homes are just 2 km away. The area is safe and the streets are lit in the evening. Drainage problems occur during the rainy season. Schools, health acre centres, Banks ATMs etc. all are available in the area. read more

Chembur is a suburb of Eastern Mumbai that changed from an industrial suburb to a residential hub over the years since Independence. Chembur is an old and fully developed suburban area located in the Eastern part of Mumbai at a distance of approximately 15km from the central part of the city. The name of this place is believed to have been derived from the Marathi word 'Chimboree' meaning large crab. Chembur was originally on the north-western corner of Trombay Island before the land reclamation project took place. The railway line for Chembur was first opened to passengers in 1924 and was made part of Greater Bombay in 1945. This place also has a history of having hosted refugees after independence and following partition. The growth and gradual development of residential areas occurred after the industrialisation of Trombay during war. Chembur eventually transformed from an industrial suburb to primarily a residential area after the construction of the Township Colony, Shell Colony and Station Colony undertaken by the Bombay Housing Board. Today Chembur is home to many more such colonies like BPCL, Tata Colony, Pestom, Indian Oil Nagar, HPCL, Chedda Nagar, Tilak Nagar etc. One can also find several independent houses in Chembur in combination with modern high rises and plenty of open spaces – something that is so difficult to find in Mumbai.One of the many notable landmarks and one of the biggest green cover areas for this locality is the Bombay Presidency Golf Club. Numerous well-developed suburbs can be seen nearby Chembur locality which includes Kurla, Deonar, Chunabhatti and Ghatkopar.
