Things need improvement

No Negatives. This area will keep developing. There is a lake nearby which might turn into a tourist spot. Roads will get extended and be converted to bus routes. read more

Excellent location with quick access to cab and auto options. There are so many excellent schools nearby, and the roads are fantastic. Due to frequent police patrols, excellent cleanliness, and hygienic conditions, it is extremely safe and crimes are recorded very infrequently. Overall, it is a really pleasant and secure place to live.

It shares boundaries with Sithalapakkam in the east, Vengaivasal in the north, Sembakkam in the north, and Selaiyur in the west. The town is renowned for its lush landscaping and the ancient Dhenupureeswarar temple. The coordinates for Madambakkam are 12.903848°N 80.15861°E. It is 29 meters above sea level on average (95 feet). The ancient Lord Shiva Temple in Madambakkam is well known. Lord Dhenupureeswarar is the temple's principal deity. The temple is thought to have undergone renovations when Kulothunga Chola was in power. According to legend, the temple was constructed between 956 and 973 CE, during the Parantaka Chola II (Sundara Chola) era. It features sculptures and various Shiva poses. In accordance with the G.O. of 13 January 2022, Madambakkam is a part of Tambaram Municipal Corporation. Tambaram Corporation will include two municipalities, four town panchayats in Perungalathur, Peerkankaranai, Madambakkam, and Chitlapakkam, as well as seven village panchayats.
