Ajmeri Gate is the silent monument of Delhi established in 1644 with a square plan all set to the south-west of Shahjahanabad. It is located at Chandni Chowk in Delhi encircled by a beautiful park that is one of the tourist attraction. It was named Ajmeri Gate based on the fact being a gateway to Ajmer city [Rajasthan]. Presently, there are only 4 gateways left in Delhi - Ajmeri Gate, Lahori Gate, Mori Gate, and Kashmere Gate. For commercial purpose, most of the walls of the Ajmeri Gate has been demolished; though, the west gate is still upright. The area is suuroun by Kamla Market, Old Delhi, Bazar Sita Ram, and Loni.
