The railway station is located within 2 km of the area. Frequent police patrolling takes place in the area. Too much traffic creates traffic congestion in the area. The railway station is clean and well-maintained by the Central government.

The bus stops are clean. Several grocery shops are located in the area, solving the basic needs of the local people. Schools, colleges, banks, and hospitals are all located near the locality. However, the unclean sewerage and piled-up garbage create pollution and mosquitoes in the area.

Tiruvallur is also famous for the Veera Raghavar Temple (2.5km), which is the one of the 108 sacred shrines of Vaishnavites. The Shiva temple (1.9km) and Hanuman temple (1.3km) is also popular among the local people here.
