The railway station is located within 2 km of the area. Frequent police patrolling takes place in the area. Too much traffic creates traffic congestion in the area. The railway station is clean and well-maintained by the Central government.

The bus stops are clean. Several grocery shops are located in the area, solving the basic needs of the local people. Schools, colleges, banks, and hospitals are all located near the locality. However, the unclean sewerage and piled-up garbage create pollution and mosquitoes in the area.

The area experiences rural-urban mixed culture. The metro ensures safe travel to any other areas from the locality. Regular water supply is available in the area. However, in certain areas, there is a sewerage problem resulting in water logging, mainly in the rainy season.

Tiruvallur is considered as the Grade 1 municipality and rapidly developing city in Tamil Nadu.
