Egmore, located on the northern banks of the Cooum River, is a neighbourhood of Chennai in Tamil Nadu, India. It is an important residential, commercial and transportation hub of the state. One of the significant roads of this locality is National Highway 114. The metropolitan transport Corporation buses provide a good transport connection from Egmore to other parts of Chennai.
