Anantapur is officially known as Anantapuramu which is a city in Andhra Pradesh. It covers 19130 square kilometres with semi-arid, dry and hot conditions in the summer. It has no actual monsoon and is one of the driest cities in the country. Anantapur has an estimated population of 4,083,315 (2011) with coordinates of 14° 40' 54.796" N 77° 36' 2.128" E.
