Rourkela is a city in the northern part of Odisha and is known to be the third-largest Agglomeration in the state. Infrastructure and Details National Highway NH 143 passes through Rourkela and meets NH 55 through Chas, Ranchi, Rourkela, Barkote, and Banarpal Junction. There is also NH 215 that runs from Rajamunda towards the Jajpur district. Besides, there is SH 10 that connects Rourkela to Sambalpur. The Rourkela railway junction is within the village of Mahulpali. It connects big cities like Mumbai, Kolkata, Ranchi, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Pune, Chennai, and Delhi well. However, there is no direct flight facility from the airport, and it is yet to start the daily service. Several healthcare centers include Rourkela government hospital, Ispat general hospital, Shanti Memorial hospital, and others. Some ICSE and CBSE board schools are Sri Aurobindo’s Rourkela School, Mt. Carmel School, Indo English School, and MGM English Medium. It's Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital is a private college.
