Chamarajanagar or Chamarajanagara is a city located in southern Karnataka and derives its name from Chamaraja Wodeyar IX, the previous King of Mysore, or Arikottara. Chamarajanagara is the administrative headquarters of the Chamarajanagar District. It lies on the interstate highway that connects Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
