The road is 20 kms long and is close to Thane. Important localities in the area include the Hiranandani Estate, Kasarvadavali, Harware City, Patlipada and Manpada. Ghodbunder road is an important link to the Mumbai mainland, Navi Mumbai and the link upto Kalyan.
